Exploration of annotated corpora and ADT

The issue of annotation is now crucial and widely supported by colleagues in France who work on corpora dealing with high-level linguistic phenomena (semantics, pragmatics). How can a corpus be annotated, an annotation model created and the quality of the annotation assessed? Which standards and tools should be used? How can an annotated corpus be explored? Transcription and semantic and pragmatic annotation of corpora are operations that are at the heart of digital humanities and the new national consortium on corpora led by C. Poudat and C. Parisse. In this context, the team will have a role to play, particularly in addressing the issue of exploring an annotated corpus using ADT methods. Various issues could be addressed, from the exploration of different layers of annotation (surface, structural and high-level annotations) to the necessary adjustments to ADT methods (concordance, co-occurrence calculations, factorial analyses).
