Lena BAUNAZ

I am currently a Maître de Conference HDR at Université Côte d’Azur, within the UMR 7320 Bases, Corpus, Langage (CNRS), being part of the syntax team (see our website!). I hold a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Geneva and an HDR in Linguistics and French Linguistics from the University of Zurich. My research focuses on formal (morpho-)syntax and its interfaces with semantics, pragmatics, and the lexicon. I has investigated functional categories and their interactions across different structural levels (sentential, phrasal, morphemic, and sub-morphemic). While rooted in syntactic theory, my work also integrates an empirical dimension through quantitative methodologies, combining spoken corpus studies with experimental approaches to both collect new data and rigorously test theoretical hypotheses.
